Dear friends and festival lovers,

Welcome to the pages for the jubilee year of the Strings of Autumn Festival.

Despite the fact that we usually present unique festival productions and resist the temptation to repeat any successful festival concerts, this year we are making an exception. We consider the jubilee year to be a suitable occasion for retrospection ...

However, as well as festival reminiscences, such as, for example, the concerts by the Michael Nyman Band, Dagmar Pecková or Miqueu Montanaro, the Strings of Autumn Festival will also live up to its traditions and it will present premiere performances by international performers and projects initiated by the festival. As such, this year's festival will witness the Czech debut of the coloratura soprano Natalie Dessay and the post-modern accordionist Teodoro Anzellotti. The festival will also include the premieres of original projects, such as the Bach in 3D project or the performance of the Benjamin Britten church parable.

Thanks to the Czech Philharmonic, the National Theatre and the National Museum (our new co- presenters), the Strings of Autumn Festival has gained new organisational facilities, has discovered new concert halls and has acquired new sources of inspiration, while preserving its characteristic INSPIRATION - CROSSOVER - LUMINARIES programs. We are also able to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Strings of Autumn Festival thanks to the fundamental support and trust of the festival partners, whom we would like to take this opportunity to thank.

We are pleased that we will be able to accompany you on an exciting flight over the landscape of music and not only in this jubilee year, but also in the coming festival decade!

On behalf of the Strings of Autumn
